I constructed a few bridges recently. While at it took a few pictures of my process. Nothing fancy, mostly router work but you end up with a decent looking bridge that you can design to your own tastes. Most of my building process is based on my readings right here on the OLF. So if you see anything that looks familiar (ie. your work) I thank you. The blank is first pattern routed like so. Attachment: pic 01.JPG The blank is then placed on the carrier, work board. note wedge and cardboard shim. The various opperations are then executed by inserting the respective patterns into the jig. Nice process, Ken! When you have a design that you like, that's a great way to go, and easy enough if you have several different bridges. Alex |
